upsampling cannot recreate the original master sound (24bit/96kHz or DSD) resolution

Teresa,

upsampling can smooth out the sound of low rez red book a bit, but it cannot recreate the original master sound (24bit/96kHz or DSD) resolution.

Analogically take for example telephone call quality which is 8bit/8kHz - Does anyone think that by upsampling it to 16bit/44,1kHz one can bring back CD quality from telephone call quality audio?

sorry, but it's ridiculous!

same for 16-bit/44,1kHz CD upsampled to 24bit/96kHz, does anyone think that one can bring back 24bit/96kHz quality?
