It's simple those who do not get the full sonic benefit of SACD can still benefit from Surround Sound

I would say most families have Surround sound even if it's only a surround sound in a box. They will still get Surround Sound that sounds way better than stereo on their CDs or downloads.

Plus even though some may not be able to reproduce the ultrasonics on SACDs, SACDs are superior in the critical midrange and bass as well. And they can experience the overall more relaxed sound of SACD.

Also the differences between CD and SACD are even greater at the lower price points that 99% of the music public is at, even in systems limited to 20kHz.

Ultrasonics are important to hear all that SACD can do but by no means is an absolute requirement.
