I have not a clue of anything that you guys are talking about but I recorded the same source in both 24/192 and DSD both 2.8 and 5.6. Playing the recordings back for friends from both the hard drive or DVD-A's everyone agreed that the DSD sourced recordings sounded better they had a more "relax" sound with greater depth and were true to the source.

Now with the ability to play back dsd discs without having to convert them to PCM for playback their is even greater separation.

Yes Sony is a pain with their licensing but their technology is beyond the competions. Beta vs VHS, MD vs DCC, Blueray vs HD-DVD and DSD vs PCM
