Well I need to hear this to believe it.

There is also night and day difference between DTS/DD 5.1/7.1 music DVD and stereo, but I do not listen to music DVDs anymore after getting stereo system a couple of years ago.

With multi-channel, I concluded that there are too many parameters to optimize beyond current knowledge/skill/know-how. The sound from back speakers is not that useful (other than audience clapping which does add to atmosphere) and sometimes even a nuisance.

However I admit I have not heard any multi-channel SACDs. I also believe that somewhere in the future the development of multi-channel will be robust/sophisticated enough for multi-channel to consistently surpass stereo. After all, 5/6/7 channels is superior to 2 channels in technological terms. Just the application remains a question.
