I got a promo (redbook) copy of "Time Control" in the mail a year or so back. Going against the old adage, I judged it by its cover, assumed it was just another smooth-jazz snoozer, and put it aside. A month or so back, I was headed out of the house in a hurry and grabbed it off a pile to listen to in the car. Wow! Tremendous compositions and playing - she's the real deal - reminds me a bit of what Corea did very early in his career, mixing traditional jazz forms and electronics.
Will be looking for this one on SACD (and others of hers, if available - I didn't know she'd been issued in hi-rez).
