You didn't read the whole thread, that was an exaggeration on my part as I was making a point

you don't have to be rich to collect LPs, even a $300 turntable will let you hear the glories of Vinyl LP. No one mentioned a super high priced turntable in that thread, it was the presumption we were all rich by timetime (Tim), I have never seen or heard of a $50,000 turntable and I have seen pictures of $5,000 turntables and I personally believe they are way overpriced. Also my comments have everything to do with the price tag, not about me being able afford it. For example I have no problem with state of the art statement components that cost $1,000 to $5,000 made for the upper middle class and super rich. But come on even using the most expensive parts available and the best design engineers there is no way to justify a $15,000 price tag for a single component piece of course unless a free car is included in the deal.

I think I am way outta my league on this site. I think I need to find something more suited for the common man, as this is way too serious for me, looking at others systems and all. Thank You all so much for your help , however, and I mean that with all my heart, but I just can't relate to the level that you guys are on intellectually or economically. I wish I could afford it and/or remember my physics. Take Care, Tim

This is a place to learn and enjoy the process of analog and vinyl. You can participate as much, or as little as you want. You can visit as often, or as little, as you want. Unless you're into being dramatic, your post is kinda silly.

I also noticed that you have a house, a '75 'Vette, and 2 boats. Doesn't sound like you're struggling financially. And yet this hobby doesn't require big dollars or tons of expertise. It is what you make it.

Good luck.
