They think my $3,500 Audio/Video system is insanely expensive, but everyone has loved the sound and the music it delivers.
I don't think 1 of out 5,000.000 people would even know a $15,000 component exists as I didn't know until today. I knew about $5,000 Ayre, Cary Audio, Linn and Esoteric SACD players, but $15,000 is a real shocker. Based on people I have meet I don't believe even 1 out of 50,000 people would know a $1,500 component existed. As all of the non-audiophile friends I told about my Sony DVD-S9000ES didn't believe anything could be that expensive, some I even had to show the receipt to. And all they could say was crazy or I really got took but everyone liked the sound. Point is the DVD-S9000ES is the most I ever spent for a single component and it is 1/10th the cost of MPS-5. I would never buy such an expensive component again. Oh and by the way I did get took on the DVD-S9000ES as my Yamaha blows it away on SACDs, on 24/96 DVDs, and especially on redbook CDs, and in the video realm the Yamaha has a much better picture than the Sony and it is less the 1/3rd the price! More is not always better.
Music is love,
Mono is not music to my ears.
Give me stereo or give me silence!
