Cheers for the advice everyone. I'll probably be doing the upgrade/mod a bit later in the year so I'll keep my eyes open for any good new SACD players out there. I'll also be checking out the Oppo 983H soon, which has a direct DSD out (now all someone needs to bring out is a good DSD DAC/Output stage) it's also meant to have a better output stage than the 980.

However at this stage I'm tending towards the mod. Thanks again.
