Yes, well said! And I’d like to say it again, "I just do not expect equipment at this price to fail.”

Even less do I expect equipment in the $5,000 to $6,000 price range to fail, but there’s evidence on this board that it does. One could almost get the impression that reliability is not “Job 1” in the world of high-end audio. When I have explicitly asked high-end dealers about reliability and unit returns on equipment, the typical response has been a blank look, silence, then a segue to the next topic, as if they hadn’t heard the reliability question. In this regard, the dealer from whom I bought my M5 was the most forthcoming--at least he said there had been issues. Ultimately, though, I suppose I shouldn’t blame the dealers--only the manufacturers know for sure.
