I completely agree and I do quote you "I just do not expect equipment at this price to fail".

My thoughts, I am having a good time listening to it, and the warranty is 2 years. I'm not going through the hassle of shipping it back to the dealer and I'd rather work with NAD if there will be more problems down the road. I just started using the unit in cd transport mode hooking up an AES/EBU cable and the sound is really excellent for what it's worth.

There's apparantely a quirky thing going on however, if the player does indeed fail I will see how NAD treats my issues and get back to you all here. So far minus the quirks the unit behaves predictability, as long as that's the case I am keeping it.

Questions about why I am not returning it, well I'm still waiting for credit for the other one which was defective. I don't want to be out $3600 and have nothing to show for it. It's been a bad couple of weeks.
