I will have to give it great consideration to send it off to Sony for some work, updating etc. Have read a few stories in this venue that are a bit shocking regarding Sony service. I must say that 21 years ago I had a Sony CDP 810ES or something which blew a servo under warranty. Out and back in about 10 days and it worked flawlessly until I sold it years later...

We'll see or might consider a new machine.
