A guy I know recently had his SA-7S1 modded, and my friend is trying to talk him into comparing it to his stock unit. Should be interesting, because another guy I know in Texas compared his stock unit to a modded one, and actually preferred his, saying it was more balanced and natural overall, whereas the modded version, he said, was more artificial and hi-fi. When a player is as refined and well-balanced as the SA-7S1 (IMHO), you have to be very careful about modding. Change for the sake of change isn’t always better, as I’ve learned countless times in this hobby. :)
