Kal/Quadzilla,
Your points are well-taken. Of course we do not have figures. And we also know that Sony, Denon, Pioneer, Yamaha make good mid-fi multi-channel players.
But are you now trying to point out that the SA-CD is surviving in the market because most people who buy these go out and purchase SA-CD? If this is the case, then GREAT news...SA-CD will not only sustain, but it will thrive in the coming years!!
You need to understand that there are some facts (or belief - if you please) in life that do not have figures attached to it. Reviewers often use facts to point out the truth in their magazines. You know that these are facts - based on the current situation of a hobby. I will be more than willing to loose - if you show me figures that there are more people with multi-channel because they love SACD. In fact, I will win even if I loose to you both - cause SA-CD would have actually won as a format. I love SACD sound and I do support it. But the fact remains that SACD remains as a niche and there are more 2-channel stereo systems supporting it rather than multi-channel. You believe it or not :-)
