New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

I've actually wondered about this myself...

The fact that some of the covers are worn doesn't bother me, but it is weird that many (or most) of the visible spines are LM (mono) and not LSC (stereo). I also remember seeing this photo somewhere else (in an early advertisement, I think) where ALL the spines were shown, and there were clearly non-RCA LPs in the collection. They've since been Photoshoped-out for the SACD covers.

And have you noticed that many of the photos of the original LP covers (of the main work(s) on the SACD) are fuzzy reproductions of the original LS RBCD releases? Take the Munch/Ravel collection for example--the LS RBCD cover art is crisp and clear, while the same art on the SACD cover is fuzzy and indistinct.

I know, I know--there are better things to obsess about (and I don't even notice these things now), but graphic design, especially when it comes to CD/LP covers, is one of my major areas of interest.
