Certainly two SACDs that I picked up on the Heads Up label from the comtemporary jazz artists Pieces of a Dream after I saw them perform at Yoshi's in Oakland. The two discs are "No Assembly Required" and "Love's Silhouette". Them cats *jam* both onstage and on these SACDs.
I also have to give a nod to Eschenbach/Philly Saint-Saens, Poulenc and Barber Organ w/ symphony recordings. The Saint-Saens is flawed, (too me)in the third section. But I find this disc still manages (easily) to be a powerhouse of enjoyment.
The Mahler 2 and the Bartok "Bluebeard Castle" both conducted by Fischer are just outside of the 6 month timeframe.
