That would be nice, but the unit locking up and not powering down, function buttons not working, not switching to SACD from CD's, having to unplug to reset micro or to read a disc, door not opening, scratching my discs and other problems, was not just a board.

I had my board replaced in November and I still had some of the issues above. I heard from many others with the same problems of some sort. So they had many issues. You are one of the very few who said they never had issues and that is great the other 20-30 eamils I receieved from owners says how blessed you were.

And again I felt bad about it, because it did sound good, but it does not measure up to the Marantz SA-7S1 in any area except for SACD where the Cary was very, very good, the Marantz nips it be being more natural, better balanced from top to bottom and much more depth of field.

I still could live with the Cary and be happy....if it ever worked right.

I say give the Cary a try with a three week return policy, I hate anyone to go through what I did for a year and more.
