But properly modified, by taking out what constricts the capability of the SCD-1, you'll have to spend 4 to 5 times as much as the modified player to get the same quality out of an LP. It is not the technology that compromises SACD's capabilities. It is the compromises made in the clocking and output sections of the players in order to meet certain selling price points in order for the companies to make $$$.
