I know many of you think there's more than enough Mahler on SACD (I don't), but it just keeps coming. This time it's from David Zinman and the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, who have announced a new cycle of Mahler symphonies to be recorded and released on SACD on RCA. The Zinman/Tonhalle Beethoven recordings on Arte Nova (RBCD only) have been terrific (and provocative), so if their Mahler is anything like their Beethoven, we'll be in for a treat. The price is right, too!Russell
