SACD 1000 a dead player?

69.163.243.52

I am at a loss for finding a way to fix this machine. I purchased it on close out, brand new, from Sound Advice a few years ago. The player died a while back and supposedly the furore chip went bad. The mech. was replaced under warranty as well.

Here is what the player does. It starts out, but then just cuts in and out, and makes an awful lot of noise from the motor trying to read the disc. I was told it was the furore chip.

Anybody out there fixing this machine? I broke down in the meantime and bought an Arcam CD73. I was tired of trying to find a reasonably priced SACD player that actually sounds decent.

Thanks in advance.

Dave
