I've had mine for about 2 years. Only problem was the tray getting stuck once when I tried to use the "disc exchange" feature. Sony fixed it quickly, but I avoid using that feature now.Never had a problem recognizing a hybrid disc, which is a lot more htna I can say about my previous phillips player.
