on multichannel? :-)The real question to me is just how much sonic bang can one expect from an LP that originated as a 1987 Tony Faulkner-modified Sony 1610 PCM recording. I was never impressed with the Soundstream-originated LP's released in the late '70's-early 80's. Apart from the concert-drum bass that rendered cartridges of that era apoplectic (and helped me sell lots of speakers), their sonic character was spam-in-a-can sterile. So it will be interesting to hear whether this "new" release really constitutes an improvement over the original CD.
