When this was released in the USA, the Crest plant was unable to produce the volume required to reach the distribution levels required, so SACDs made in Japan were imported and appeared on the shelves along with the US made version. Some (yours truly) went to the trouble of tracking down the Japanese-made SACD (there were a couple of distinguishing features on the outside of the package) because they wanted to avoid the SACDs made at the Crest plant. This was not for sonic reasons, however.
