HDCD does not get upsampled, it has its own filter. I don't think that the upsampling settings make any difference.For most CD's I prefer the 192 KHz setting. The high end is a little smoother.
There are some CD's that do sound better at 44.1 KHz.
Most of the time, I just leave it set on 192 KHz and enjoy the sound.
