my primary audio system is by necessity the one that I carry in my briefcase (at the moment an iRiver CD player and Etymotic headphones, not bad), so when I replace a worn-out LP, I get a CD if a decent one is available. The clever people who make SACD players have thoughtfully decided to make no portable ones, so they are just as inconvenient for me as LPs. I do have portable DVD-Audio, but the relatively short battery life makes it impractical for everyday use.
If anyone has the answers to all my woes, I'm listening (don't say "retire to Bonaire", I've thought of that one).
