sacd dead yet?

im not trying to offend anyone. my question is genuine.
i've been away (due to busy schedule) from the AA in the past 10 months or so and not sure what the current scene looks like.
is sacd dead yet? is sacd same as 10 months ago? is sacd gaining popularity? i also have the same question for DVD-A as well. i know this is a wrong forum but if someone can answer for the DVD-A, that would be great!
i currently own Denon 2900 and thinking about upgrading my digital source. your comments will determine if i will purchase another multi-player or cd-only player.
