...looks like the reason for the holdup is not Sony itself but lies with their music publishers.According to the link below they are demanding to be paid *three* times the normal royalties because of the three versions (redbook, stereo SACD, surround SACD) of songs being found on a hybrid surround SACD!
This issue has apparently led to a number of their planned releases (such as the Al Kooper ones mentioned in the link) basically being put on hold.
