of course where Meridian is heading is complete speaker/room correction, and this will require a 32 bit PCM environment. I'd like to see Meridian adopt a Firewire connection and do a 2x upsampling conversion of DSD to 176.4/32 or even a straight conversion to 88.2/32 - or better still, sell a universal player. At that point I'm willing to bet that SACD will really sing in a PCM environment. For now, even though the local Meridian dealer and I are audio buddies, I won't likely get a chance to hear the Meridian processor as he only brings it in on a pre-sold basis.
