To be fair I believe that both players came out of the comparison in a very positive light, and the price differential was taken into consideration; owners of Allen's modified unit should be extremely happy that their players apparently show a clean pair of heals to Sony's own flag-ship SCD1 .If the accounts given are correct it simply demonstrates that both Alex and Allen have succeeded in raising the performance of their chosen subjects considerably at their respective price points, and such comparisons shouldn't be viewed as being one player/modder vs another IMO - more the modified players being evaluated against stock players that most of us are able to use as a reference.
