Home Hi-Rez Highway

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

The "noise-floor" in many listening rooms is too high to really take advantage of Hi-Rez...

...and this is why Hi-Rez takes such a commitment on the part of the audiophile. Many people who say they cannot hear the difference between Cd and Hi-Rez have often simply forgotten to "lay the groundwork", so to speak, that is needed in order to be able to take advantage of greater resolution. In optimized playback arrangements, one can and does perceive the substantial improvements in increased resolution of detail, sense of air and spatiality, micro-dynamics, etc.., that the new formats offer. However, one can at least sense the improved musicality, sense of ease, smoothness, etc.., of Hi-Rez on almost any system. So do not ignore Hi-Rez, just prepare for it.
