most folks deem SACD superior in sound. I have no opinion on that, but I wouldn't be caught dead with dead DVD-A. The discs don't sell worth a damn because the fools who introduced the format didn't realize they couldn't get distribution in the CD aisle where 99.9% of music is sold. Over the past year or so, DVD-A has lost significant music label support which has gone to over to SACD, with more to follow. DVD-A's days are numbered big time.To answer your other question, SACD has many more titles and the gap is widening. Moreover, you don't need a TV to play them like most folks need with DVD-A.
