...as the whole idea is absurd.As long as meaningful contents matters most, I have different view to this instead of excluding a technology which is supported by the majors.
Why to commit behind a proprietary SACD only, which only few content providers are interesed in to support. Your initiative serves just these manufacturers, not music-loving audiophiles.
I will happily pursue buying DVD-Audio titles, (along getting those few interesting SACD-hybrids) sitting back relaxed, waiting Sony and Philips will learn their lesson and provide DVD-Audio support in one or in several of their forthcoming players 8^/.
