I took the SACD plunge when the Sony 9000ES became available. If it wasn't, I still would be on the sidelines. The price point was reasonable to ME, as it was a 3 in 1 player. Also, there was enough SACD software to feel I was getting true 3 for 1. As far as DVD-A, J&R Music now has offered a player at a good price. However, there is no software. I don't think the price of the players will go up, so why buy now?? As far what format is inferior and what will win?? I'll buy into DVD-A when software is available (if and when). Not worried about the format war. 9fold already posted he bought a DVD-A player and he likes the experience!!
