Agree about the sonic diffs between open and closed cans. Only top of the line sealed cans compete with open-backed cans for transparency of sound.

I also agree that the level of coolness and comfort provided by a nice, lightweight pair of open-backed headphones or earspeakers is unmatched. I really miss my old AKG K-1000s for the "all day long" listening comfort they provided. The next big breakthrough will be when air-conditioned sealed headphones finally come to market...
