If I were you, I'd buy the headphones and try them out with your amp. Many headphone amps sound best when the volume control is open 2/3 of the way or more. There's nothing wrong with having the volume knob turned up to the limit so long as the music is plenty loud enough for you.

That said, it wouldn't hurt contacting Meier to ask him for his advice on the subject.
