I think I demo'd these a while back at Guitar Center but ended up with a pair of AKG K240. I like to wear full size outside when I can but the open 240 picks up WAY too much wind noise, making them useless unless the day is calm. I was however very lucky and found a pair of soft earpads for the 240 from reading some posting somewhere with a phone number and then contacting an individual associated with the company. I never saw the velour pads available anywhere else.

I really want something that won't absorb air/wind and would also use them for outdoor ice skating. I see Sennheiser has a few closed models in the $100+ range.
