Well, hooked it up with electricity exposed. Kind of harsh sounding at first, so put it away after half an hour.

Second listen: What great sounding bass. The highs are a little detailed sounding. I listened for over an hour.

Overall, looking at the pre-assembled units, that sell for $200.00 shipped, I think they are worth it.

So far, $32.00 plus $16 for the toroidal transformer and it's my best headphone amp yet.

Now, I have to figure out how to do a case for it, which is ALWAYS the great difficulty of DIY. I would settle for two boxes and keep the PS separate, but I don't see any I like until we get > $85.00 shipped. I'm thinking wood and plexiglass. I have to keep the wood content down or else it becomes a very heavy case.
