You probably need to look into "pro" or "dj" style headphones. You'll get close to the $50 mark before you start finding many decent headphones with detachable cables.

Check out Headroom, where I can see that the Superlux HD668B is one of the least expensive "audiophile" headphones with a detachable cable. The Shure SRH440 w/ detachable cord is considered a "Best Buy" at $100 but they do have one pair of (B-Stock) SRH440s for $75 (look under "Deals").
