If you decide that you must have a pair of Audeze headphones you can always buy the LCD-2 for $1000 or less.

Hifiman has some excellent headphones models in the "under $1000" category.

Beyerdynamic T-90 might also be a good choice.

At the low-priced end of the scale I might recommend the Phiaton Moderna "sealed" headphones.

Oval-shaped headphones like the Phiation more closely correspond to the shape of the "typical", oval-shaped human head and might look better than big round headphones (on smaller heads like yours).
