I solved my problem with Ear Zonk cushions. These seem to fit any Grado headphone.(They're designed for the 1000s.) These made the SR 80's seem like new headphones. I can now wear them for hours and actually think they helped improve the sound. Great product; if you own any Grados, these should improve them. I may upgrade to a better Grado model but I think I'll keep these cushions.
