The Audio Syndrome, a fun audiophile club with members in the New York City and Long Island area are having their next meeting on April 26th, 8PM at Charlie G's home in Lindenhurst, NY. March 2002 - Bedford Studios in Brooklyn, NY with hosts Andy Tommasi (Recording Engineer / Owner) and Ted Goodwin (Mastering Engineer & guitarist). We compared live acoustic guitar with both the analog recording (2", 30ips tape) and digital recording (ProTools software) playbacks as well as numerous discussions about the recording industry.
February 2002 - Tubes versus Transistors in Andy D's home in East Meadow, NY. Compared a variety of tube and transistor components (amps & pre-amps) hooked to Alon IV speakers.
January 2002 - Manufacturer (Quantum Products Bill Sterihout) and Magazine (The Absolute Sound's Scot Markwell) demonstration of Quantum's products (Symphony, etc.) as well as demonstration of some recently reviewed TAS equipment (Alon ribbon speakers & a ? push-pull 300B amp).
