The Quads are 63 USA completely rebuilt and upgraded. Wonderful sound. Didnt feel the need to upgrade until I heard the CS-2's. My impressions are that the CS-2's are even more revealing and coherent than the stats. The Mids on the Quads are very liqquid, but so are the CS-2's and add the ability to fully dissapear..something the Quads are not quite capable of doing in my room. I still get the sense that I hear the music emenating from the panels.
In terms of dynamics and real live sound..the CS-2's are clearly better and with prodigious bass. So far the comparison has been from my dealers vs my room..I will have direct comparison in my own room soon..But the CS-2's do seem to combine the best qualities of electrostats with the best of dynamic speakers in their design.
