Hi,
Just a few questions. Why have you chosen to move away from a back to back style dipole bass driver in the production model of the speaker? And why have you chosen to do away with the more solid support of the protoype for a flat stand type suuport for the production model (magnepan style - albeit more sturdy looking). Surely the frame support of the prototype offered greater driver stability.
Also, do you have any more details on your dsp system?
I assume the dsp module is supposed to be connected after an analogue preamp in the signal path? Could a preamp (volume control function) be incorporated into the output stage of the dsp module? Connecting the dsp unit prior to the preamp would require a multichannel preamp.
How many pairs of inputs does the dsp unit have?
I assume from the literature I have read that the dsp system converts the signal output from the preamp to a digital signal - what type of ADC/DAC do you use? At what sample rate? and what effect does this have on the signal integrity?
I assume that there would be advantages to connecting a CD/SACD/DVDA digital output directly to the dsp input, but this would then require post dsp volume control. This facility obviously wouldn't be available when connecting a turntable. If you could provide some sort of proposed system block diagram with digital and analogue inputs that would be very helpful.
Sorry for so many questions. I am quite interested in your product and the development of this technology. Thanks very much for being available to share you design ideas. I wish other equipment manufacturers were equally as open. Cheers.
