Insert a 500VDC cap at your own risk. The feedback cap (390) frequently sees voltages above 500VDC and therefore, you may have just been fortunate.If this cap fails it will take out other parts with it in a violent dramatic fasion so the risk may not outweight the costs.
My advice - stick with the 1000VDC rating - Dynaco choose it for a reason. In fact, capacitor replacement advice in general - never go below the original voltage rating.
