Mark VI AC balance

Hey All,
I have a pair of Mark VI's and the AC balance has never been right. Too much IM. The amps have gone through several incarnations. They now have a 6CG7/6CG7 front end with a LTP and KT88 outputs. Its been suggested elsewhere that the problem is the output transformers. Any thoughts?
