RE: DVD-A mastering

Hello Pete,
in my experience most DVD Audio titles are up sampled from 44/16 or 48/16 or even from 48/24.
It was difficult in the past, and it's still difficult today, to find native 96/24 or 192/24 stereo DVD Audio titles.

I found several good examples of amazing DVD Audio titles, from Classic Records (no available thought Acoustic Sounds), taken directly from the original master tapes. Excellent job.

If you want the most accurate and fantastic example of what a true native 192/24 stereo recording is at the present time, you will find some titles from Claudio Records, the link is http://www.claudiorecords.com/192S.html
They also produce the AMAZING DVD Audio sampler that Cambridge Audio offers with their flagship DVD Audio (also Blu-Ray video and audio, and SACD player) model 751BD.

Disclaimer:
I'm NOT affiliated with either AcousticSounds OR with Claudio Records, BUT I'm a happy costumer from both!

Hugo Rosa.
Best regards.
