Interesting comparison to the Oppo. I don't think I can seriously consider an Oppo unless the $150 model is released in a black version. At $230 for the black Oppo (forget which model # is which), I'd be inclined to go for the Pioneer 46av, instead. The Pioneer is probably decent enough, though, I suppose in a way it might be analogous (sp?) to, say, spending more money on Bose brand speakers just because I think they look good and have a name brand. Not that other cheaper speakers with less familiar names can't be just as good or better, though. (For the record, I'm using B&W DM303's. Not that those are anything too special, just stating I'm not using Bose.)
