Mine is - but I'd have to concur with your assessment as I've played some of mine (I bought a bunch when Classic Records was selling them direct for $15) on different systems/players and on some of them they just sounded OK and others it sounded great. At one point I had a DVD transport going into my pre/pro and the chain of DACs piggybacked off the DSP did not sound all that great. I have an old DAC that can output 48k and I took the same DVD transport and had it going into the DAC at 48k and out to the analog input of the pre/pro and it sounded great.
