The EMU1212m has the best ADC there is - the top AKM one. The analog input stage needs upgrade of course (the Op Amps), and you need the latest version of the EMU1212m which has better layout and much better clocking.

The magic happens at 176.4/24 or 192/24, otherwise you will not be getting the vinyl sound, sorry to say. A power re-generator for the PC would be very nice. Then, for best results, use "Disc Welder" to create DVD-A (DAD) from the files because streaming them from the HDD does not cut it.
