That's damned good stuff. There's not a lot that's actually better today. If you were lucky, you bought it at the right time. I remember seeing used Marantz 8B's going for $250 or so in the '80s. But when you factor in inflation, the original new prices for that equipment wasn't all that much less than comparable equipment today. When that stuff was new, it was the province of the wealthy only -- doctors and lawyers and such. In 1960 I have a vague recollection of a Marantz 8B costing somewhere in the neighborhood of $250, while a Dyna Stereo 70 was less than half that -- $130 assembled or $100 as a simple kit (pre-wired PCB).
