The disc repeats the tracks at different levels of resolution. I listened blind the first time and chose which of the repeated tracks I thought sounded best. I picked the 24/192Hz tracks. The trick is to listen to the naturalness of the sound. I listened to the top two octave on the piano and the high string sound. There is also a more expansive acoustic with more space between instrument. The image is wider with more bloom on the sound.
I find that RBCD has a more in-your-face kind of presentation with sharp edges to the sound. Some listeners may actually prefer this. The stereo image is also more compact and clumped. The 24/192Hz tracks are 2 channel, so all the tracks should be listened to in only 2 channels, otherwise you are comparing apples and oranges.
The two musical selections are a trio and a quartet. As I said, there is no large symphonic orchestra comparison. This would be a more revealing test.
